(I primarily shoot nature and landscapes. I know, I'm boring like that haha)

That's what the photographer who I apprenticed with said. I have a really good eye for shots, the only thing I lack on is the equipment (all SLR shots were from his old one I borrowed and the rest from a digital camera) and the time to really learn how to use the equipment. For example I still struggle with adjusting the ISO correctly to shoot in darker locations.

But it's all a learning experience. I've had people who HATE my pictures because they're too "simple" and show me their intricate shots of like a water glass with water dripping out taken from an expensive camera. But meh... that's not me. I really enjoy nature shots, I enjoy things with lines and symmetry, and I enjoy photos that flatter a model and match their personality. Which is why I started modeling, so I could learn how it feels to be the person being photographed :lol:

I get waaaaay too into photography :oops: :dummy"

It's a wonderful thing to get into. And don't ever let your creativity and passion get cockblocked by technicalities. The equipment doesn't make the photographer. :) Sure, it helps a lot, but it's not key. Hell, I just got into photography less than a year ago, bought myself a nice little DSLR, and all, but there are still a lot of old digicam shots I like better than my new stuff. There's even a couple of photos I took with my phone that look better than my DSLR shots.

When did you get into it? :)

I've always been interested in photography, for my 16th birthday my mother bought me a digital camera that I experimented with shots on. None of those shots are really any good but it opened the door for me to begin getting interested. I started taking photos of some of my friends around the college campus I went to but found the shots were lacking so I got into modeling to understand how to pose models better.

I also did an apprenticeship with one of my photographers who taught me use of SLR and the technical aspect which really helped improve my shots. :D Which one is your favorite?

I think the best of the bunch is the second photo of Ian. Followed by the first, simply 'cause it has the writing on his shirt, which pops out and adds something.. else, to the photo. :)

Of the landscapes, I like the wavy road(but wish it had richer colors and a sharper contrast), and the windmills, 'cause it reminds me of a place in Holland. :D

Do you edit your photos or just keep them as they are? I mean, you've obviously done it to some, but do you do it often? :)

Nice photos. I liked the one you shot of the lighthouse, and the road.

@Seale : I liked that shirt on Ian haha, I like models having their own personality in shots, they don't have to be high fashion... just themselves. As far as editing goes I usually NEVER edit my photos. I crop NONE of my photos and I color correct none of my shots. I'm a purist. The ones I've edited are just to make them more interesting. In fact the windmill one the shot color-wise was total shit but I didn't want to scrap it so I did crazy editing on photobucket to make it look like that. Same with the first two photos of the lighthouse and the tree, I merely color changed them on photobucket.

As far as the wavy road shot, I actually took that shot in the passenger seat of the car I was riding in, I didn't really take the time to edit my settings on my SLR I just pointed and shot. I COULD color contrast it better through Photoshop but like I said, I'm a purist. :lol:

@Justified thank you!!! :D

You're making me feel bad for playing around with most of my photos. :( I won't change, though. :lol: Sometimes things just need to look more vibrant and interesting. :D

Playing around is fine, I just like the challenge of getting the image to come out how I envision it just by snapping the shot. I learn to work better with the SLR that way :D

Great pics.
Photography for me is one of those things that you can easily assume is simple and easy but soon find out talent is needed when you start taking shots. There's a lot more to it than most people think.

I like them all but if I had to pick a favourite I would choose the one of the plant through the rocks.
