Graceling by Kristin Cashore. You could go to gracelingbook.com or google it. There is also a small trailer as to what the book is about on youtube (and I don't think it is becoming a movie - I think they just wanted to have fun making a small video).

I would post a summary - but it's midnight here, and I have to get up soon! I wish I wasn't so addicted to the internet!
