Now the place is here,
There is no past or future.
Breathe in the moment.

Moment my Liege
-By: Michelle

Moment my Liege
I can't stomach this secret no longer
After the Siege
I laid down my life as cannon fodder

Hypothetically of course, I took a page
Of my book and burned it in the fire
Letting the embers take it in rage
Only because I like you sire

Truly, I do!
I got rid of the truth
So you'd avoid the noose
And save your troops

Please tell me once
That I'm worthy of you in your eyes
Liege, I'm a dunce
For believing in the fates of the skies.

Someone please start a poem with "Honor"

How about something good with 'honor' -

Honor Blackmon, Christine Keeler, Mandy Davies, all those naughty English girls,
Margie Thatcher, Terri May, Vicki Reg, and latterly Liz, and ooh! Diana.
Diana was really bad!

Thank you two queens; Queen Michelle and Sheena Queen of the Jungle:

So rather than choose between bad and skies, I will combine them.

Bad skies blowing in from the western hills,
Gotta plow this field before the storm hits.
Mud bogs the tractor down and lightning kills.
Surely Mary is scared out of her wits.

The black storm clouds are threatening to break.
Wind, rain and who knows what will be here soon.
She knows I'm out here and what it will take
to stop me from saving this farm from ruin.

Can't stop now, if I keep plowing quickly,
I'll get this done and get back to the barn.
My wife, Mary, will lay prayers on thickly.
Her loving prayers save my life and the farm.

You lose it on the third word. 'bad skies' blowing is trite, cliche.
It reminds of dramatic monologue, but no hardscrabble farmer would linger with such treacly sentiment.

So your saying the poem blows?
I concede to your review. It was a bad hair day.
Think it started with a bad hair dryer blowing.

Nope. Am saying learn from the effort. Reinvent yourself. Invest in Bukowski, a real poet of Excellence and Truth. For dramatic monologue you must first study. Tops are Frost and Browning.

Down the winding stairway in the berth deck

He left his red haired girlfriend and his mother
To serve his God and country in due honor.

Reviewing, saw this one as a father homage. You could do him better. Was the intention an haiku? Impressionistic?
Recommend: First eliminate the adjectives. Humble does nothing in this verse and red-hair to be effective would have to be reflected. Consider in the context you have invented real language play - e.g., due ---> dual since there are two he is serving by way of desertion. A picture of irony to be sure - work on it to make that sing in this singular stanza.

Is blowing the last word? Was that a poem, OM? lol I am not sure.

Blowing his horn in the early morn
Arthur smirked at all this scorn
Windows closing, neighbors yelling
Didn't they know his sound was telling?
Attention, noticing, and being seen
That is why Arthur was so keen
to wake up early and make a scene.

Scenery that is quite not true
In front of the mirror waving a weak hi!
Until when that image will hide
I took picture I've got only blank I cry

Not sure when such things will fade
Where showing's already not as hard as it is
Imagining how a sprout grows in seasons
Envy eats that scenery, covered itself, run away...
No one rises suddenly in this world not even the sun.

To Clem,
Not meant as a poem, but Warholski said art is anything you can get away with...
or was it a way with???

To Sheena: Bukowski captures the beat and reheats it. Frost breathes a fiery soul through traditions of verse and reverse. Browning paints life and draws us in. Yet, I will forever return to Leaves of Grass, for the words of Whitman's visions may well be the winds that forever have caused our sails to billow toward newer horizons.

Sweet Shar... you send me!

To all: Sweet Shar still has the last word....away

Thanks Dream Guru, perhaps.
I have had occasion to speak publicly. I will often prepare a speech. A mentor of mine once informed me that my forte was when I dropped the script and began speaking from the heart. So with no further ado or preparation:

Away with words
who needs the swirls slithering across the page
off to blissful nothingness
to quiet
to peace
no words
no thoughts
nothing
but
ONE
soul caressed by the loving life force of the universe
ONE
with
the
ONE
to love. to give. to live
to offer all that i am
to all who are
who are from
the ONE WHO IS
who gives gifts
who gives to me
a way with words
Who looks outside, dreams;
Projecting our images in space and in time
Yes is the answer
and you know that for sure

Unspeakable says op
is making real
More real.
Like Kore
While her mother weeps
Bereft of green
And spring and
All the words for love.
Like food and working.
Are they tools, op?
Or products?

Products of ancient making
carved into stone
Letters are tools for the taking;
Yet, Socrates said leave them alone.
He argued with Phaedrus and told:
"Written words will make your mind weak."
Yet though he's dead for eons and cold
I can hear the wise Socrates speak.

Say you're sorry and I'll forget a thing
Please stay and what happened will be carved in water
You can surely convey me even with just a whisper
Those three wonderful words must worth the heartaches.

Dear fellow Dream Mooders,

I have started a new game.

It is called Once upon a dream. We each write a few lines of a story.
Here are the rules:
1. Finish the sentence from the previous post.
2. Write a complete sentence.
3. Write an incomplete sentence for the next poster to finish.

Everyone is welcome to join in.

Here's a link: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=156273/Once%20upon%20a%20dream

Peace,
Operator Mike

P.S. Still waiting for someone to carry on with this poetry game.

Host a site where dreamers can post their dreams
While others delve to see what their dreams mean
Is an idea worthy of honor
For all from NZs to Afrikaners
So thanks from my heart to Michael Vigo

As Jung would explain to any dreamer
by understanding we can grow keener.

Breathe, said the mid-wife
She quietly took a deep breath in
and released her pain.
Out from that came a precious gain.
New life.

Life is never a waste of breath.
She labored to bring me to life.

Mothers aren't always there
Some seriously just don't care
More concern with the looks of their hair
Leaving a child with no food along side an empty chair
I guess life isn't suppose to be fair
How lucky i am to have a mother that does care

Care is an action that doesn't follow with words
Forcing hesitation moving onwards.
Time needs to be respected and given
Never dwelling in forbidden
Empty promises.
A kiss isn't always what it is
Intentions vary.

Aw ^

World is in chaos
Time machine wanted.
Volunteers needed
So much discourse.
Take it freely or with force.
" Better never to have met you in my dream than to wake and reach for hands that are not there."

Force it, bend it, shape it
Try as you may it just won't fit.
Grab a hammer and bang it in
No, then grab a brick on a whim.
Guess dynamite is the option left
So many are going to be bereft.

^ That is a good off the cuff poem reply, Clementine.

Bereft was the widow Glenn
Sadly sitting in the seaside Inn
Staring out upon the sea
Longing for her love to be
Having a cuppa tea on land
Close against her ring hand..

( Not great but a quickie to continue the game )
" Better never to have met you in my dream than to wake and reach for hands that are not there."

Hand it off to me now
I'll take it for a ride
I can't even see how
to steer without a guide.
Who looks outside, dreams;
Projecting our images in space and in time
Yes is the answer
and you know that for sure
Yes is surrender, you got to let it,
you got to let it go---John Lennon

Guide me to the otherside
Take me in the dark
Lift me to the heavens
Leave me in a park.

Park in a driveway
drive in a Parkway
what's the difference anyway
Who looks outside, dreams;
Projecting our images in space and in time
Yes is the answer
and you know that for sure

you got to let it go---John Lennon

^ That one gave me a smile :)

Anyway you try
Leads to a cry
Why, God, why.
Must I survive
World is deprived
..and so contrived.
