strange slightly religious dream/vision i had years ago

years ago i had the strangest dream that i can remember, and i've always thought about it since i had it, it was like an experience that i definitely feel influenced me, it atleast made me always wonder what it could have meant because it was clearly symbolic in nature.

basically, it was a really short dream, it was like the end of a dream that i don't remember. i know i was dreaming about something but i have no idea what, but from where my memory picks up suddenly i see the traditional image of jesus christ (white, bearded, white robe, all that, and i'm not religious at all, i actually dislike organized religion due to how it seperates people), and he's sitting on a throne-like chair, but he looks nervous about something and he keeps looking above himself while still seated, worried as if he's bracing himself for something. he either looks up a bunch of times, or it plays in my head over and over like a quick replay. then suddenly after he looks up a few times all i see is fire, like the screen changed and was just filled with fire.

i "woke up" at this point. not sure if i actually did, or if i was still dreaming, but i was "awake" laying on the bed i had at my parents house at the time of the dream (i was probably about 18 or 19 then, 27 now). i was sort of half asleep (or still asleep), and my room was really dark because it was the middle of the night, but i clearly saw a dark figure standing against the wall about 15 feet away from me. the room was pitch black, but the figure was like darker than darkness, so even in a completely dark room it stood out. it had no outstanding characteristics except it looked human-shaped but would have been about 7 or 8 feet tall.

as soon as i realized that i saw or thought i saw a figure i sat up abruptly and looked and the figure was gone.

i layed back down and felt a type of fear that i have never felt again in my life. i was almost paralyzed by fear because i am 99% sure i was awake when i saw the figure, and i definitely saw it. i remember wanting to leave the room but being too afraid to even sit up again because the fear was so paralyzing. i also remember looking at my closet door which was right next to where the figure had been "standing" and i thought there was a red glow coming from the bottom crack of the door. i now think that was just my mind wandering and seeing things in the dark out of fear, because it too closely relates with some "hellish" or "devil" type shit, and like i said i'm not religious and i don't believe in a "hell", and i didn't then so i don't know why i would think of it as a demonic thing.

if anyone has any insight on this i would be interested, because i still think about this dream somewhat often, just wondering what it could have meant because i think it meant something. i think the religious aspect was part of a bigger allegory since i'm not a religious person. it could actually have something to do with the fact that i don't care for organized religion.

Well, I can see why no one has responded to his one. Your experience encompasses more than a dream, imo. You've actually answered your own questions right in this post. You're more intuitive than you suppose.

Your post begins with "I don't like religion, BUT..." and then you go on to describe a vivid dream image that appears to be god on a thrown. Now, why would someone who is not religious see god? That does seem kinda strange. But you didn't just see an iconical god on a thrown, you saw a *worried* god. Now, that's the interesting bit!

I've read quite a bit of channeled material. Now, I know that sounds really "out there", but once you get over how the information was achieved, the material itself is quite interesting. Elias, Seth, Bashar, and the like all talk about a coming shift in consciousness. This shift is away from a god-head type of mentality, which is exactly what your dream image showed you. God looks worried.

In addition to seeing god all worried there up on his thrown, you also objectively saw something that wasn't exactly physical. What you saw (the dark figure) I can't begin to identify for you, but to see something like that requires a shift in awareness (excellent!), which this coming shift is all about. This type of experience, from what I've read, is going to become more and more common and will completely redefine reality (which will ultimately lead to a completely different understand of "god"). I see evidence for this shift all the time. For example, the British Journal of Psychiatry recently released a study where it was found that 20% of all the children studied heard voices.

wow your so lucky you had this dream! at least you had some sort of life changing experience, kinda. I'm always trying to see or find something that will prove to me that there's more to this life but it always happens to people who don't ask or look for it, aha.

i think maybe even though you don't have a certain belief... that you still allowed God's spirit in your life at that time in some ways.. and that presence in you at that time was aware of the demonic spirit... if something is real it does not make a difference if i believe it or not... people believe what they want all the time.

i do not think the flesh born Jesus looked anything like the pictures... it almost makes me wonder if at that time there was some sort of thief around, or if something painful and dreary happened soon after you had the dream... i have had a few times where i got this all dread feeling, and soon after... i came across a car accident where someone died, or i got in a motorcycle accident within a few days, or someone almost died... like the dark presence was a dreary echo of things to come.

I would just take it as a warning, you will know in your heart what that means, from the first feeling you felt when you woke up in the dark!! What did you feel in your heart??? Because when you woke up the first time you were awake! HELLO!!!!
