It's hard to be the cool teacher sometimes.

In this dream I'm a teacher in a public school on yard duty. There are so many kids and lots of activity going on around me. Two kids walk up to me holding a tiny baby. The baby is more like a creature, it screeches, flicking a thin split tongue and is wild and raw. The kids are speaking Spanish. I ask the kids to show me where they got the baby. I hear another teacher mumbling, "people are going to wonder where all these orphans are coming from; third time this month!"
The kids take me to an area blocked off with a chain link fence. There is a hole in the fence and just beyond heavy equipment like earth movers. The shell of a building remains, inside the cement has been dug out and I can see a big hole with chunks of cement leading down into the hole almost as good as stairs. The kids have been climbing into the pit; they tell me the baby came from the earth and they found others just like it. I want to know about the others and the kids take me to some big vehicles. The boys have taken two flat bed trucks and plan on driving the creatures away out of the city. The baby creatures will be hidden in the cement debris on the trucks.
I see the other creatures, they are varied, some have snake-like lower bodies, with vertical pupils in their eyes. Some have bat wings that open and close as they breathe. All have human features and look like characters from myths.
I'm still standing on the truck as it starts to move through the city. I'm looking at the creatures thinking we are no way prepared to care for them and I also think we maybe in danger just being next to them. I understand how the boys don't want the creatures to be locked up or taken away by scientists and yet at the same time I feel overwhelmed by the responsibilities of it all.
