I thought it was a good movie, children in it were types you cared about, things could have been better in the movie but overall for me a 9.
ET is one of my favorite movies.

Letters to Juliet.

I agree about Super 8. It was really fun and it made you care about the characters- unlike many summer blockbusters.
Elle Fanning was really good too.

Hi, Pennywise :) How have you been?

I love It's a Wonderful Life movie, it is a must watch for me around the holidays. Wish we had a Jimmy Stewart of actors now.

I plan on seeing Bridesmaids sometime this week. It is supposed to be really funny.

Bridesmaids was pretty funny. However, don't believe what people have said about it being like The Hangover, only for chicks... It just barely fits that description...

I know. Everything from the scenery to the plot structure is perfectly crafted. (I always prefer B&W to color, as it strengthens the interplay of light and darkness.)

And the latest movie I watched was Cannes favorite Dogtooth (2009) by Yorgos Lanthimos.

Yes, the film also flowed extremely well, and it not only told a simple story, but it told it with such depth and feeling.

As for Dogtooth, I've been a little hesitant to see it. I've heard great things about it- and I'm sure they're true, but I don't know if I could handle the film's intensity (That and the cat scene :hurl: )

Last film I watched was Lost in Translation.

I just watched Tokyo! and was surprised at how different it was from any film I've seen. I liked the first and third short films of the movie. However, even though the second had the most ambition out of all of them, it was unable to pull it off very well. If you feel like watching it but have doubts, just shut up and watch it.

The Phantom Menace.

Yes, the first of the prequels. Oh how it brings back memories. I remember being so stoked when I heard they were coming out with new SW movies. I was only 9 years old at the time, going on 10 that summer. Ironically, being such a huge SW fan, I remember I was like, the last one ever to see it. I remember everyone was talking about it at school and stuff. I wanted to see it so bad, but for whatever reason my parents just didn't get around to taking me. Then one afternoon my dad said he wanted to take me out for a surprise which wasn't something that ever happened. We went to Nickey's and I had a delicious cheese dog and fries. That place is really facking good. The sun was doing it's late afternoon thing, where it gets really bright as it lowers. Two bad there weren't 2 of them! There was some baseball game on the TVs. A White Sox game I believe it was. I remember an overall sense of content and enjoyment, but the surprise was yet to come. We headed out and I had absolutely no idea where we were going. The sun was setting and I remember the sky looking really cool. Then, as soon as I saw the movie theater, I knew. I was overcome with joy and happiness. I couldn't have asked for a better surprise. Needless to say, I loved it. I remember being obsessed with The Phantom Menace after it came out on video. I recall watching it many nights in a row back in the day.

And the rest is history. =D

So good to see that someone else here saw it!! I caught it down in NYC when it openend back in May and was completely blown away. I was so enamored that I had to go back and see it a second time 2 weeks later. IMO, it is the best film of the last 10 years, and it currently ranks at #3 on my best of all-time list. Another masterpiece by Terrence Malick- one of America's greatest filmmakers. :unworthy:

Yeah, most of the movie was beautiful, and probably some of the best cinematography that I've ever seen. I loved the imagist beginning, and that moment with the two dinosaurs is unforgettable and it really reminded me of the parents' relationship.

And speaking of Ewan McGregor.

Attack Of The Clones.

Watched it just last night. Again, I still love the prequels no matter what anyone says. I remember when I saw it with my friends back in '02. Just after "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away" when the iconic "STAR WARS" text explodes on the screen with the main theme, everyone cheered and applauded. It was awesome. I had anticipated it for so long, watching the trailers just about every day. :p And who could forget the moment that Master Yoda finally busts out his lightsaber and throws down with Dooku?! That was so hilariously amazing. Up until then we all thought that he didn't fight with a saber. Ahh, good times. Very good times. :D

Falling on a tin roof
While I'm safe there in your arms
So all I ask is for you
To come away with me in the night
Come away with me
