Catch 22, (1970) with Alan Arkin, Jon Voight and Martin Sheen.

As for ratings.. I,er don't really know what to make of the movie to be honest! Has anyone else seen it? Thoughts?

I was watching Hitchcock's North by Northwest today with Cary Grant... Not at all what I expected, I've only seen half the film, but I really like it! So far 10/10. It's the third Cary Grant film I've seen, and the first Hitchcock..!

Why would say that was the last movie you watched if it is not a film? XD

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1667905/

Okay, why did you put that link there?

To demonstrate that it is a real film and to inform you of what it is about.

Um, you DO realize that I was just kidding, right? ._.

Yes, I do. I still thought it was necessary to inform you of what it is and why it's called that. It's a very sad film and it's all real.

Just after watching Designing Woman with Gregory Peck and Lauren Bacall... I'd give it 10/10! The ending was priceless. While I think Humphrey Bogart could have fought his way out and Cary Grant could've talked his way out, Mr. Peck wasn't too bad! Haha! :P I'd give anything to have Lauren Bacall's voice (except lung cancer, I heard she'd smoke 40 cigs a day). And I'm convinced Gregory Peck and Cary Grant were the tallest men in Hollywood of their time!

Yeah, I thought it was really excellent. It emphasizes the mundanity of every day life and the futility of our insistence on survival in a grippingly dark way. It feels apocalyptic in its presentation- like these people are living on the brink of the end. Others seem to have lost their minds/humanity and the brutal winds whip about as if they were sent by an oppressive higher power. I originally gave it 4.5/5 stars, but the more I have thought about it the more I think it deserves 5 stars. It's currently tied for best film of 2012 with Elena right now, but I feel like in 5-10 years- when I think of what films really stood out around this time- Elena will be at the back of my mind, and The Turin Horse will leap forward as a real masterpiece.
It's my first Bela Tarr film, and I plan on seeing The Man From London, Damnation and Werckmeister Harmonies soon.

About the first hour and a half of Titanic (I turned the movie off because my mom pulled in the driveway right around the time when Kate Winslet had taken off her robe.)
4.5/5 It's a beautiful movie so far. I'm finishing the rest of it tonight or tomorrow.

The rest of Titanic
5/5 The movie was beautifully made and is one of my favorite movies. To those who have never seen the movie before, I think you should buy a copy of the movie and sit down and watch the whole thing. I loved how the band stayed on the ship and played until it completely sank. That is my favorite scene. :)

The Turin Horse probably isn't the most accessible of Tarr's films, but you seem to be patient enough.

Yes, though I'd have to say it was a bit devastating to watch having read a lot of Nietzsche. I can't say I've watched a film that was more bleak than this one. Tarr uses the same technique that one of my favorite movies (Eureka, a japanese film of 2000) uses in order to capture Nietzsche's loss of sanity and the futile struggle of living as a human being. A long movie that uses few shots in order to make a mood feel as realistic as possible is one of the bravest moves in the film world and not many directors have accomplished it successfully. I'd have to say this is my favorite film of his, but I haven's seen Damnation yet.

My Bloody Valentine.

I expected it to be more scary it wasn't the best film in the world, but I have seen worse. I thought Jenson Ackles did a good job going crazy in the end though..

I've seen the movie and read the book (written by J. Heller). I personally didn't care for the movie, the humor was dark and if you have read the book it made some sense but the purpose of the book is extremely theme driven to review and provide commentary on self-survial versus the greater good, the mental aspect of that and also the attempt at showing the different perspectives of different parties in the same situation. Difficult to convert to a movie/screenplay. The acting was fantastic, but the movie just a little too odd and different from the book. It is considered a classic, I'm glad I watched it, but it's not a favorite.

Last movie I watched...........The World is Not Enough, the 1999 James Bond film(Pierce Brosnan)....ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!

I know that you have to suspend any sembalance of reality regarding the stunts of a Bond film, but this was worse than cartoonish, and the story sucked. Again so far the worst Bond film I've ever watched.
