Tear Jerkers

Postby Floyd's Jester on Fri Oct 16, 2009 12:19 pm

Got this idea from the music forum.

What movie(s), no matter how many times you see it(them), ALWAYS make(s) you cry?

"All Dogs Go to Heaven" Nope. Not kidding. Every damn time.
I see things the darker kids see
Though you wouldn’t believe all that’s happened to me.
I’ve been to the backside of hell,
And I’ve played with your fear and enjoyed it well

It's A Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie

Postby studiodc on Tue Dec 22, 2009 12:53 pm

They hit this one right on the head. Someone uploaded the entire movie on YouTube recently. In that and my other favorite, The Muppets: Letters To Santa, Gonzo's singing voice sounds simply amazing (not too bad or good but perfectly poignant). I'm amazed how emotional it was for a so-called kids' film. I've had a couple of dreams about this movie (here's one: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=6477).

I cried too. Didn't know it was a sad movie and my dog died 3 months before I saw it.

Titanic. No matter how many times I watch that damn movie I cry. Every time. Leo DiCaprio is just too good at dying. Haha.
I also cry in most, if not all, Disney movies as well, but I think thats just automatically wired into my system. I could be walking by some random strangers house and just happen to look in the window. The family of four, with their two small children. Watching a Disney movie? Why yes, yes they are. Well, I'm afraid its time to cry. Hahaha I'm just kidding.

I'll admit it. The first movie that made me cry was E.T. One that always gets me though is Big Fish because it makes me think of my dad, but that's also why I love that movie.

Marley and Me was one, and honestly, the end of Defendor got me.

It is a good a movie. Don't go into it expecting a comedy. It has some funny moments, but it's a very dark comedy/drama. Woody Harrelson plays the role phenomenally.

Grave of the Fireflies is the only movie that has successfully made me cry. (I was little then, now it just depresses me.) I had to hold my tears back during The Green Mile,The Reader, and the ending of the game Final Fantasy X.
