i'm an experienced guitarist, an okay singer i suppose, and i write lyrics. I do all of these for my band. I handle recording equipment as well, so i have small DJ experience. I mess around with my friends 5 string bass at practices when waiting for our drummer, and because of the tuning of a 5 string its exactly like playing my six string guitar. I love bass slaps

Getting a band together and hoping to get it together early next year for gigs, recording etc...

I play the guitar,bass,drums and classical piano. Piano wasn't really MY choice though. I play in a punk band in jacksonville,florida. We have a lot of fun with it because its not so hard to play and create and you just get to watch the crowd have fun. I used to play in an all girl metal band and we kicked ass. We sounded like a form of iron maiden....

If anyone is up to potentially writing a song with me let me know- I would want it to be simple romantic love song- the trick is it will have to be sung in spanish and I could write the lyrics in English, and I have a friend that can help me translate, but I would need the music to be written. And I wouldn’t be able to pay, the only benefit to the person helping me would be publicity because the song would be published in my book and the person helping would receive a credit in my book. Any music writers willing to give it a shot?

I play flute, piccolo, [alto] sax, and sing in choir.

i'm part of a screamo band. i sing and scream lol. i'm in my highschools madrigals which is one of the best choirs besides chambers which takes 2 people from each voice part (soprano I and II, alto I and II and so on) so yeah.

I can play piano! I've been playing for 10 years. I'm in this program called Guild. Anybody know it? It's like a giant piano final exam. It's a 10 piece program. You memorize 7 songs including the scales, cadences, and arpeggios. Since this year is my senior year, I'm in a 15 piece program. I have to memorize 10 songs, scales, cadences, arpeggios, and, this year, I have sight reading and... ear reading, I think it's called. But I get a fancy diploma at the end of this! :excited:

Ahh I remember them.. see I am a pianist turned Opera singer lol. I did piano in college as well as voice but found I loved voice more... but I stil kick major ass in Chopin and Bach lol.

I used to play trumpet, baritone, and the tuba,

im the ghost with the mostest babe!! i can play anything with frets on it, including many you have never heard of, a professional lutenist, music theory teacher and luthier of stringed instruments.

eye been playing since i was 8

when i learned the steel string (6) and my teacher custom made an archtop for me, that i still have today.
my son plays also, the guitar, and the drums, and i have played with them out in the bars

we play mostly origional rifts, blues, jazz and rock, but some metalica, zeppelin and rush.

I play guitar, and write music in my free time. I can basically play any instrument with a fret. It isn't too difficult to sort of get the hang of. I've only played for about 3-4 years maybe on and off as well. So I'm nothing fantastic I suppose but I think the stuff I write is nice although usually sad haha

I played piano when i was young. Then i fell in love with the guitar about four years ago. Then i fell in love with DJ'ing ...Which i am currently pursueing now.

I actually play my guitar much less though

If you've got a PS2 search for E-Jay Club World. Only problem is it's already created beats, but you can change almost anything about them. It's pretty impressive for a console game. It's not even really a game, it's more of an emulator, but yeah. It's def worth checking out, it's what got me interested.
Have you tried searching for schools? Only prob is they're pretty pricey. I honestly don't know where to start either.
