Okay so I can't sing, dj, play guitar or piano but I do play clarinet. I also play tenor saxophone which I think is the superior sax. It has a good, rich sound! I wish I could play piano though! All I can play are crappy Christmas songs haha!

Guitar, Bass, the occasional drums(though very poorly, although it's what I started out on..), used to know Trombone, could play a bell kit, can kinda play keyboard... That's it.

My band is trying to finish up some songs and find a permanent bassist so we can get on stage... I don't know about my drummer, but I've missed the rush.

Nice! See I learned ( and re- learning) the clarinet when I was a Music Ed. Major. I was the choir geek but wished I had joined my highschool band... but I get my chance in a club I am in at my school...hopefully I won't epically fail at the clarinet  lol.

I played the flute for 12 years along with the piccolo as well for 5 of those. I still can play, I'm just not forced to anymore lol ;). I've been looking into learning how to play the harp, and have found a good instructor in my area who plays in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra...but she charges an arm and a leg for lessons; but with good reason I suppose. I'd love to learn to play the piano as well. Maybe someday :).

Start by relating chords on paper to sound. That way you can build up writing skills...if you have the time, take a music theory course...yea sometimes it can be a bit of a drag but I have learned so much from it to apply to my compositions...also try aural dictation and rhythmic dictation... that helps TREMENDOUSLY!

HOPE THAT HELPS :D

I also suggest Creative Literature course to improve you lyrics...and read , read , read! It will improve those skills as well :)

How is that dumb? Musicians are incredibly attractive. :)

My future husband has to be into music at least as much as I am, I couldn't stand not being able to talk to my other half about music! It makes up a massive part of my life.

I'm a vocalist mainly. Mostly Musical theater stuff. I can play a little bit of piano and recorder but not really much. I can semi read music, just so long as I have a lot of free time to do it(I'm a perfectionist, haha).
If you want to listen to my singing here's a video of it :]

I'm a professional musician... but that doesn't necessarily mean much considering almost anyone who knows more than one chord on a guitar considers themselves a professional musician with loads of experience.

I play the piano; tenor, alto, soprano and bari sax; drums; guitar; I sing; and I run a recording company.

I don't DJ.

hehehe don't get me started.. I'm a music freak :excited: I play clarinet(B flat) flute(bass is my fav) sax(wootwoot tenors!!) piano(self-taught so I'm not that great) and bagpipes(hehe guess what... I'm of Celtic descent!!! Surprised??)!!!! I should be starting harp lessons soon too.

As for listening to music I LOVELOVELOVE classic rock... the oldies are definitely the goodies!!! I also love grunge/crust punk, and I'm a total headbanger and metal chick... but I also love J-Pop... it's a little strange... Like BoA, Namie Amuro, On/Off, hitomi, Ayumi Hamasaki, the V6, Every Little Thing... and most of all on the J-pop list: Do As Infinity!!! (bestest songs by DAI: Shinjitsu No Uta... Rakuen... and... Fukai Mori) I first discovered J-pop by watching anime (woot woot Inuyasha and Vampire Knight!!!)

Hehe but my favorite band of all time... Evanescence. Mostly their EPs and stuff. My favorite song by ev would have to be... Understanding or... The Last Song I'm Wasting on You. I love you Amy Lee :rarara:
"I am not feeling particularly magnanimous today." ~Sesshoumaru-Sama of InuYasha

"Don't try to fix me... I'm not broken." ~Amy Lee of Evanescence

"FEAR THE FLUFF!!!!" ~Mrs. Sesshy-Sama (a.k.a. ME)

Alright well, I play the drums :drumming: That's my main instrument
I also play, guitar, mandolin, and the didgeridoo
the DIDGERIDOO IS THE COOLEST THING EVER!!!
if you don't know what it is... seriously... go check it out!
I guess I can kind of play bass and keyboard
I always like to experiment with other instruments. I don't learn music the "proper" way. I'm mostly self taught.
I have steel drums too.

I listen to pre alternative, classic rock  , blues, punk, funk, latin, jazz

Sorry to '80s hair metal people, I HATE '80s hair metal. I also really dislike country, and basically anything mainstream.
I respect all people's musical opinions, so I don't mean to insult anyone, but those are just some kinds of music that I dislike

A lot of the music I listen to is underground. Anyone here like any underground music?

Yeh, I used to play piano but hand my hand broken badly few years ago and ended up with a plate and screws in it. I still like to go on now and again but it's not the same. :( I love listening to it being played, theres something hypnotic about it......................
