3 Key Words to Explain American Culture

So for a class that I am taking, my professor asked me to describe the American Culture in 3 key words, and why. What would you say?

You want us to explain our answer
the first one is pretty obvious and the last 2, well we do invent a lot of stuff. We got the world moving, look at how much stuff has change we only been around for less than 250 years and their are still places still fighting 1000 year old battles and feuds. Yes we go thru hardship and dont get everything right but we accomplished a lot...like diversity no other nation has been as diverse and were major players crossing (blending/living among) cultures with one another before many others. I have been to other countries (not in Europe tho) and they are not as near as diverse...like almost everyone is the same, everyone who in their TV and Movies and magazines are the same race, like go watch a Japanese or Korean or Brazilian or Russian show and see how many other races who see... We even went to the moon, that's was an innovative process. Invent planes, cars, telephone light bulb etc.

I am surprise to see ppl put greed, we give more to charity and volunteer work than all other nations combine, I think the opposite generous but we are all have a right to our opinions.

I wanted to put this in...I dont think any nation is better than any, we all have good and bad things about us, no such thing as perfection. I love different cultures and I glad I get a lot of it right here.

Uhm I want to say , in three words to desribe the American Government, oh I mean the "america". Ignorant, glutanistic, and just plain VAIN.. But three is pretty vegue.. I would say maybe eight words would desrcibe it better. As you see my description is more negative than positive, but bad things are more important to fix than good things right. The Federal Reserve will kill us all!! Oh an they should drop the federal from the name since its not even run by the government but by greedy grazillionare's.. By this time next year we will be hunting rabits, eating tree sap and hoping for rain water to hydrate our body's.. holy shiznitcazam,, what to do!

normally i wouldn't respond to a post in all caps, but i'll humor you...

i didn't say there was no corruption in america. in fact, i plainly stated there is. however, it is minuscule compared to the corruption of pretty much every other country on the planet.

it's disappointing that someone who does not consider him/herself to be in the camp of either major party will still fall victim to peer pressure. just because a majority holds a certain viewpoint does not mean that viewpoint becomes correct.

humans are naturally greedy. america gives its citizens a lot of freedom, so greed will be more visibly prevalent.

If you are trying to disqualify the predicament that Americans are falling into with the corruption we do face with that of say Libya, why didn't you simply state:

Kind of a rudimentary exercise. I see what the teacher is doing, he'll use everyone's subjective opinion about the country to drum up a discussion. But it's obvious something like national identity or culture, especially in a young country filled with immigrants, can't be distilled down to three words. I think that's kind of foolish.

Thought for a while to answer to this thread, and the 3 main characteristics to describe America (in general) would be.

First off is Corruption. I don't want to quote every document i have read, but trust me, there is ALLOT of corruption going on, even on the lower level.
Second could be Determined. If Americans put their mind to do something, they usually do it.
Last but not least, somewhat Religious. The very first quote that comes in mind is "If it's good enough for Jesus, it's good enough for me". It seems that Americans hate every other religion except their.
