If Jesus came back

Postby VenusInChains » Wed May 18, 2011 8:55 pm

So all this talk of endtimes and rapture has made me curious. I'm not sure if Jesus will ever reincarnate, but anything is possible. How would you know that it was really the son of God? I'd actually be curious if he remembers his past life.
Oh well
Whatever
Never mind

Well in Islam I don't think we call it reincarnation. See in Islam, Jesus (pbuh) never died and was merely lifted off this earth (to something like heaven, but not that exactly) and he will return to earth when the Antichrist comes around at the end of times. He'll continue his life ie get married, have kids, die, .

I don't exactly remember how we would know it to be him though. It says in the sunnah exactly how he will return. Actually I'll put it up when I find it.

Ahadith about Dajjal and Portents of the Hour

1808. An-Nawwas bin Sam`an (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: One morning the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) made a mention of Dajjal, and he described him to be insignificant and at the same time described him so significant that we thought he was on the date-palm trees (i.e., nearby). When we went to him (the Prophet (PBUH)) in the evening, he perceived the sign of fear on our faces. He said, "What is the matter with you?'' We said: "O Messenger of Allah, you talked about Dajjal this morning raising your voice and lowering it until we thought he was hiding in the palm-trees grove: He said: "Something other than Dajjal make worry about you. If he appears while I am with you, I will defend you against him. But if he appears after I die, then everyone of you is his own defender. Allah is the One Who remains after me to guide every Muslim. Dajjal will be a young man with very curly hair with one eye protruding (with which he cannot see). I compare (his appearance) to that of Al-`Uzza bin Qatan. He who amongst you survives to see him, should recite over him the opening Ayat of Surat Al-Kahf (i.e., Surat 18: Verses 1-8). He will appear on the way between Syria and Iraq and will spread mischief right and left. O slaves of Allah! Remain adhered to the truth.'' We asked: "O Messenger of Allah! How long will he stay on the earth?'' He said, "For forty days. One day will be like a year, one day like a month, one day like a week and the rest of the days will be like your days.'' We said: "O Messenger of Allah! Will one day's Salat (prayer) suffice for the Salat of that day which will be equal to one year?'' Thereupon he said, "No, but you must make an estimate of time and then offer Salat.'' We said: "O Messenger of Allah! How quickly will he walk upon the earth?'' Thereupon he said, "Like cloud driven by the wind (i.e., very quickly). He will come to the people and call them to his obedience and they will affirm their faith in him and respond to him. He will then give command to the sky and it will send its rain upon the earth and he will then send his command to the earth and it will grow vegetation. Then in the evening their pasturing animals will come to them with their humps very high and their udders full of milk and their flanks stretched. He will then come to another people and invite them, but they will reject him and he will leave them, in barren lands and without any goods and chattels! He would then walk through the waste land and say to it: `Bring forth your treasures', and the treasures will come out and follow him like swarms of bees. He will then call a person brimming with youth and strike him with the sword and cut him into two pieces and make these pieces lie at a distance, which is generally between the archer and his target. He will then call that young man and he will come forward, laughing, with his face gleaming out of joy; and it will be at this very time that Allah will send `Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) who will descend at the white minaret in the eastern side of Damascus, wearing two garments lightly dyed and placing his hands on the wings of two angels. When he will lower his head, there would fall drops of water from his head, and when he will raise it up, drops like pearls would scatter from it. Every disbeliever who will find his (i.e., `Isa's) smell will die and his smell will reach as far as he will be able to see. He will then search for Dajjal until he will catch hold of him at the gate of Ludd (village near Jerusalem), and will kill him. Then the people, whom Allah will have protected, will come to `Isa son of Maryam, and he will wipe their faces and will inform them of their ranks in Jannah, and it will be under such conditions that Allah will reveal to `Isa these words: `I have brought forth from amongst my slaves such people against whom none will be able to fight, so take these people safely to the mountain.' And then Allah will send Ya'juj and Ma'juj (Gog and Magog people) and they will sworn down from every slope. The first of them will pass the Lake Tabariyah (near the Dead Sea in Palestine) and drink all its water. And when the last of them will pass, he will say: `There was once water there.' Prophet `Isa (PBUH) and his companions will then be so much hard-pressed that the head of an ox will be dearer to them than one hundred dinar, and `Isa along with his companions, will make supplication to Allah, Who will send insects which will attack their (Ya'juj and Ma'juj people) neck until they all will perish like a single person. Prophet, `¦sa and his companions will then come down and they will not find in the earth as much space as a single span which would not be filled with their corpses and their stench. Prophet `Isa and his companions will then again beseech Allah, Who will send birds whose necks will be like those of Bactrian camels, and they will carry them and throw them where Allah will desire. Then Allah will send down rain which will spare no house in the city or in the countryside. It would wash away the earth until it appears like a mirror. Then the earth will be told to bring forth its fruit and restore its blessings; and as a result of this, there will grow such a big pomegranate that a group of people will eat from it and seek shelter under its skin. Milk will be so blessed that the milk of one she-camel will suffice for a large company and the cow will give so much milk, that it will suffice for a whole tribe. The sheep will give so much milk that the whole family will be able to drink out of that, and at that time Allah will send a pleasant wind which will soothe people even under their armpits, and will take the life of every Muslim and true believer, and only the wicked will survive. They will commit adultery in public like asses and the Resurrection Day will be held.''

 [Muslim].

So that's a reaaaallly long section no need to read all I'd it I highlighted one bit (ISA is Arabic for Jesus). And any questions whatsoever can be asked from that. It might seem far fetched some bits so ask me and I'll explain (but take note I'm not really good with the pomogeanate bit, trying to figure that myself still) there actually is more to this so Yaaa.

Jannah is heaven
Dajjal is Antichrist

I don't think I would believe anyone claiming to be Jesus.
He would have a hard time proving it.

Interesting times coming up...I don't know if I want to or don't want to be around when Jesus (pbuh) comes around. I'd say it's a possibility, but perhaps when I'm like much older. But then God knows

Jesus to me was just a man who had a lot of followers. I'm guessing he was a great talker
Don't really know how Jesus fits into Islam?
If he did come back I would need some hard core proof before I believed he was a prophet or the son of god.

What does the Qur'an say about Jesus?
Question: What does the Qur'an say about Jesus?

Answer: In the Qur'an, there are many stories about the life and teachings of Jesus Christ (called 'Isa in Arabic). The Qur'an recalls his miraculous birth, his teachings, the miracles he performed by God's permission, and his life as a respected prophet of God. The Qur'an also repeatedly reminds that Jesus was a human prophet sent by God, not part of God Himself. Below are some direct quotations from the Qur'an regarding his life and teachings of Jesus.
He Was Righteous

"Behold! the angels said, 'Oh Mary! God gives you glad tidings of a Word from Him. His name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter, and in (the company of) those nearest to God. He shall speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. He shall be (in the company) of the righteous... And God will teach him the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel'" (3:45-48).
He Was a Prophet

"Christ, the son of Mary, was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how God makes His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!" (5:75).
"He [Jesus] said: 'I am indeed a servant of God. He has given me revelation and made me a prophet; He has made me blessed wheresoever I be; and He has enjoined on me prayer and charity as long as I live. He has made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable. So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)!' Such was Jesus the son of Mary. It is a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute. It is not befitting to (the majesty of) God that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! When He determines a matter, He only says to it, 'Be,' and it is" (19:30-35).

He Was a Humble Servant of God

"And behold! God will say [i.e. on the Day of Judgment]: 'Oh Jesus, the son of Mary! Did you say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of God?' He will say: 'Glory to Thee! Never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would indeed have known it. You know what is in my heart, though I know not what is in Yours. For You know in full all that is hidden. Never did I say to them anything except what You commanded me to say: 'Worship God, my Lord and your Lord.' And I was a witness over them while I lived among them. When You took me up, You were the Watcher over them, and You are a witness to all things'" (5:116-117).
His Teachings

"When Jesus came with Clear Signs, he said: 'Now I have come to you with Wisdom, and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) on which you dispute. Therefore, fear God and obey me. God, He is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him -- this is a Straight Way.' But sects from among themselves fell into disagreement. So woe to the wrongdoers, from the penalty of a Grievous Day!" (43:63-65)

From http://islam.about.com/cs/jesus/f/jesus_quran.htm

Jesus (pbuh) was pure human, not a 'piece' of God who sacrificed himself for the sins of mankind( which I don't understand...why would God send himself to earth to sacrifice himself Idk)

According to Islam Jesus (pbuh) was another messenger of Allah. He received The Book ie Gospels and spread the words he received from the Lord of the Worlds. He performed miracles under the will of Allah so as to show the people that he was indeed a messenger of God.

In Christian beliefs he died on the cross. In Islam Jesus did not die. Another man was crucified instead whom the Romans??? Thought to have been Jesus, but wasn't. Instead, Jesus was lifted from this world and still waiting till Our lord decides to return him to earth to continue his life.

So Christians believe he will die twice?? I don't understand that. Isn't everyone supposed to only die once be raised twice?

I'm not too sure about terrorist but a lazy-unemployed socialist .

If Jesus could appear here in the USA, he would be ashamed how we treat the poor, the disenfranchised, and the homeless.

But remember, Jesus was a Jew and a Socialist. The Republicans and Teabaggers would consider him persona non grata.

According to the source by which these ideas come into play, "Even angels long to look into these things." 1peter 1:12

When you put all the prophesies together, it's clear that Jesus doesn't come back to earth physically until His work in the Spirit is complete. When He returns, humankind will have collectively raised up into their spiritual bodies. They will be like Him, adorned in heavenly Glory. This isn't until the third eye of the entire earth has been opened, cleared and balanced ("They will have the name Jesus written on their foreheads.") It occurs after the struggles of social politics. Our Eye will be opened, so everyone will recognize Him. We won't be amazed by miraculous signs, because His return isn't to prove anything to anyone. That was His purpose the first time. The second coming marks the point when His work is completely manifest, new heaven new earth, and Jesus comes to hand back all power and authority to God the Father. His power and authority, up to then, is used to defeat all His enemies in the spiritual realms. Once the war is over, and Man lives on in peace, He returns to give it back to the One who gave it to Christ in order to defeat death.

It's an interesting vision for the future of mankind. One that, spiritual speaking, seems to have a capacity for taking form in the world. Who knows? We've a long distance to travel.

I don't remember the past life of Jesus.
I cannot have lucid dream for the moment because absence of Spirit. ... I'm very sad about it, I'm so depressed. Every time I have a lucid dream, I work well on my personal project, but every time I don't have lucid dream, I don't work on it because I don't believe I will success it.

Why would you? (Remember Past life) as Jesus did not speak “English” or think so much in English... as the Holy Spirit does not tend to work that way... as if you’ve ever time traveled - it’s kind of hard to adjust... Dreams can put you in different states of reality- only those that are wise ... could understand inn-sanity

As clearly as there are dreams that people have posted that one can chart to pattern a dialogue...as cultures have different views.. though there is one common denominator.. as Ge=~wat2

My only dreams about Jesus are as follows:
─ I told my friends: "Jesus is already on earth now, he is me, I'm earning money like everyone but I live forever".
─ Playing Jesus game and he wears a long white robe and with long hair, but I lost in the game but there is a save game to rollback.
─ Jesus flying to the clouds, etc.

The rest of the dreams are about being God instead of the man Jesus.

Gus Who, Christians consider that the churches and the people in it are the wife of Jesus. That's similar to the thing that I will say in my post next to this.

Jesus is spirit God for people by praying to him, and it’s difficult that people come to Jesus as a man every time they need help, because there are billions of people.
God must live somewhere to be happy, suppose I'm not a human but a god body like creating worlds and raising mountains all the time without exploring these, and being single forever, that’s sad.
When I was very young I could raise mountains in my visions, I could control extremely complex things in my mind, and when I continue it during many minutes then I fall as sleep by lucid dreaming of it.

No Jesus is the Bridegroom... he is not married yet, though he is looking for a WiFi (wife eee ) as to be king and queen (church)... like I’ve say King Solomon had ... as there are a lot of them that don’t get the title ... Bride

That link said "List of people claimed to be Jesus". There are many Christs on other billion planets but there is only one God who created the universe. And it's not possible that all these Christs created the same universe, but there should be one creator of the universe who is me. And someone told me in my dream about this that I'm Christ.

I'm really Christ and I'm not joking.
I picked a few random people in that list of people claimed to be Jesus. And none of them claimed to be immortal, they are dead, but I claim that I will never die, and I live forever.

I had actually forgotten about this thread, but I have heard of 2 of the Jesus' on the list.

Alan Miller - Aussie Jesus dating Mary Magdalene.
Vissarion - Russian/Serbian Jesus. I find this one interesting in that he has started a few ecovilliages.

I'm still not convinced anyone on that list is actually Jesus, but I like seeing people encourage others to live a better lifestyle. Establishing churches and gaining money from tax free donations kinda rubs me the wrong way.
Oh well
Whatever
Never mind

I am sure Jesus has that covered (monetary issue) when he returns ...

I somehow would think Christ would not make a spectacle to prove he was who he was, if or when he came back. Was there an actual date ever mentioned for the return? I think along the lines of some others in the thread that true believers will know and be able to sift through the phonies to find the real one if the time comes.

I pretty sure those that know how to play ball ... know ... ‘The Time’

As it’s kind of obvious... like the ‘World Cup’ being played out... The teams are picked... and go in play..

So yes everyone in the peanut gallery should be in uniform... and ready to go bat

As Christ has already tapped the wisemen/ and wiser women ... (look for the light and follow... :creeping: :creeping: :creeping: )

I am pretty sure ‘Pele’ and Wonder Woman as gods will be thier!

Thank you VenusInChains for the thread.

The reason why dreams don’t show dates is it’s depressing to wait for a very long time, for example let’s say what will happen after 1000 years? Then everybody gets depressed. But showing the nearest important date is OK, for example my first best life will begin on December 25, 2021. ... I believe in magic of the dreams.

Life is like playing music or singing, it’s like a hobby: writing down my dreams and waiting for the reply dreams, and the replies are sometimes magic, if you explore my topics then you’ll see with pics.
