keep seeing the same numbers EVERYWHERE

so about 70% of the time i glance at a clock it has something like 12:12, 1:11, 3:33 2:22 or its a minute before or after, like 12:13 or 11:10. its been happening only the past few weeks maybe and it freaks me out a bit >> i know humans are wired to see patterns but my whole life ive seen patterns like that and some have had some meanings. my connection with 11:11 is a. ive always made wishes when it came around and b. 11/11/11 was when my now ex-boyfriend asked me out and i havent been able to get him out of my head for the longest time. i also believe in signs and messages in dreams/objects/events too. thoughts?

Have you ever googled 11:11? You aren't alone. There are lots of us you might also like to google angel numbers. You can use the numbers just like dream symbols to look up meanings. You don't have to believe in angels for it to work. As for more specific meaning I can't tell you. I see :11 on clocks almost hourly sometimes even more because my clocks are set to diff times. Yesterday I saw 6:11 and 3:11 at the same time watching a you tube video on my phone. I ordered pizza and the last 4 of the number was 1111. I saw 2icense plates once that both had 11 on them. One had an expiration of 11/11. They were following each other, one turned so then I saw the next. This was right after I told myself I was seeing these because I subconsciously was checking the clock every hour. Well those weren't clocks if you find a good explanation let me know. I feel this goes hand in hand with dream symbols.

I think it's just the mind knowing its time?
For example on the train every morning I get lost in my book then panic I missed my stop. This panic happens at the same station nearly every morning. It's a few stations before mine.

I put it down to subconsciously knowing the trip I take each morning and my mind picking up on "nearly your stop"

Same with 11:11 your mind is trained to know when it's 11:11
Or 4:37 or 6:19 etc etc

Or it could just be random. You look at your clock and only focus on 11:11 and not the other times you have seen?

If you look for signs you see them. Signs without meaning. People would like to think it means something special, but reality, it is nothing.

I think the main focus of the numerical message is an opportunity you are supposed to see, not necessarily in something you feel good about right away, maybe something that even bothers you at first, that you can learn to benefit from later on.

As a general comment, I think just because the meaning in signs or numbers is perceived by the mind, it does not negate its validity for that particular mind, it could help it focus instead on what it was unconsciously thinking about and bring it into light in an unexpected way. Hope that helps.

2. Selective retention. If you wrote down every number you ever saw you'd find you aren't seeing any number more than you should be. You just selectively remember/recognize certain numbers which have greater significance to you more than you remember/recognize those that don't have significance to you.

Also, remember that time is an ephemeral construct and our definition of it on a 24-hour clock which changes twice a year (daylight savings time) and has divisions of seconds and minutes is entirely human made. It has no grand significance to reality numerically, as the numbers are just defining a quantity in units, and since the units aren't intrinsic to reality any non-circumstantial relevance the numbers may have is nonexistent. Furthermore just freaking out because numbers are the same "e.g. 11:11" is rather silly. What makes 4 ones in a row any more significant than 12:34, or 5:02, or 9:34? Nothing except your own mind.

You are giving the numbers their significance, not some otherworldly entity who is trying to communicate with you. (Unless of course you want to get into the communicate with yourself jazz, but if we're gonna go there we might as well just say you have control over what you think and be done with it.)

This happens to me too! I look at the clock and it says 8:11, 9:11, 11:11

I dont know why this happens but it sure feels good to know that I'm not alone!

I can relate. I see 11:11 twice a day (AM and PM) almost daily. Also 3:33, 5:33, 1:33 and the such.

I was also born at the 333'th day of the year and there are 33 more days until new year's. at 00:00 (midnight). Talk about freaky right? My mother told me the doctors wouldn't believe i was about to be born (they claimed that my mom had to wait at least a few more days before giving a "normal" birth). But she gave birth to me thanks to my grandma, who was a nurse at that time and some midwives there. Damn docs...
