Question of the Day

Got something on your mind? Get it off your chest! Talk about anything here...well almost anything.

I prefer sunsets, I have seen both, more sunsets though and I prefer the sun(light) better than the moon(light).

I'll let Soulkiss's question continue because I was the only poster to reply on it yet.

It isn't that bad here, not on every street selling it or gang- biker- mafia wars over it.

Well, I lived in the NorthWest Portland, OR and Seattle, WA....weed is very popular not really dangerous tho, but it stinks I think. Heroin is pretty big and always have been. I mean Kurt Cobain,Andrew Wood of Mother Love Bone overdosed, Stefanie Sargent of 7 Year Bitch died of an overdose, Layne Staley of Alice in Chains and many others. A lot of death.

However for the best cities to live in America, Seattle rank at #6 and Portland at #17. I have to say besides the weather I love these 2 cities and I lived in a lot of cities in my lifetime. The Northwest is very laid-back, very clean, (Portland is the second cleanest cities in the whole world) very big on recycling etc. Both cities are very clean so no abandon building, homeless shelters everywhere and even whole villages for the homeless. There is everything here, mountains (ski), oceans, small towns, big cities. Both places are very big influence in Music and Art. Seattle was rank #2 for the cities that reads the most...a lot of coffee shops (starbucks is Seattle company) and books in both places (Powell's bookstore is a Portland company, one of the biggest worldwide book store (online sales too)...if you order a lot of books many of them are probably from Powells). Very creative, interesting and laid back ppl for the most part. ppl here are very active in keeping the cities clean, and helping ppl in need, including drugs.

its not much but I recycle, pick up trash, and am a sponsor for a local NA group. All I have to contribute to this world is guidance to those who need it with the hope that it will make some sort of difference.

I would have said the sunsets but being in the far east I have to say the sunrises are breathtaking. The sun and the moon is a hard choice for me I love both of them so much...the warmth of the sun running down my whole body (I love hot weather) but I guess I lend to the moon because it seems mysterious and causes me to wonder about things. It gets my mind going.

Sunsets as I'm not the best morning person.
I would say the moon, I love both but I stop to look and appreciate the moon more often than the sun. Maybe it's because the moon is easier to look at lol
I've never really thought about it before but I'm going with the moon.

where i live isn't that bad. crime has been dramatically reduced compared to before. but in general florida always had a drug problem. that's why it always makes the top 10 list of "the most dangerous states."

afternoon guys looks like we need a new question
whats the longest you have went without sleep?

I have went about 3 days without sleep while taking care of my mom and studying for finals. by the time I made it to bed I kept finding myself in a zoned out trance, like I was thinking but not thinking at the same time almost like a meditative state. have you ever experienced anything like this?

I have gone 2 days just to see if I could. Struggled through the 20 hour mark. After 24 hours I was in that meditative state you talked about, and probably could have kept going. It was hard to fall asleep.

It definitely went over two days, and closed in on three. I don't get that much consistent sleep but I like my sleep so that was a struggle.

I've gone without sleep for thirty hours maybe. I like sleep, hehe.

NEW Q!

What's your favorite memory of a trip from when you were younger?

I remember we were on our way to virginia beach, and we were going through the mountains. I have a tendancy to get car sick, especially on hilly roads, and well, we were in the mountains. I wasn't feeling well, so i told mom that we needed to stop, and just when i said that there happened to be a sign for tours through an old lunitic asylum. So we stopped and went on a tour, it was pretty interesting. The women giving the tours used to work there, so she had a lot of interesting information to give.

Oh! And when we got to virginia beach we went on this fishing thing, and no one caught anything except i caught some guys three hundred dollar fishing pole. He was pretty happy i had because it'd fallen in the water and he thought it was lost for good!

My favorite memory was a trip was going to Disneyland -- when I have children it will be one of the first trips I will plan for my own family. I had so much fun, it just has a atmosphere of pure and utter joy about it. My whole family went and it was one of the trips where almost all of us got along because it was so fun and we had so much to do and enjoy.
And I want to wake up with the rain
Falling on a tin roof
While I'm safe there in your arms
So all I ask is for you
To come away with me in the night
Come away with me

New Day: Do you believe in spanking children as punishment?
Sometimes, I think it is necessary after you have exhausted all other methods. Stern looks, verbal warnings, threats to take away things, time outs. After all that I think it's time for a spanking.

Yes and I agree on what you say.

There's a huge difference between abusing a child and disciplining them. A smack on the bum is fine for me.
I got my bum smacked and I grew up alright.

absolutley! i got my ass spanked a few times as a kid, which kept me in line, and i turned out okay. too many kids today could really use it themselves, but too many parents are afraid of disciplining them. unfortunately, i also see some parents get a bit too rough with their kids and/or swear and yell at them.

Ok Here is a real question.
What are you more concerned about ?
A)-Money.
B)-Wisdom.
or C)-Looks.
Pick one.

I am making an attempt to balance the 3, honestly. On some days, one will be more important than the other. But for the most part they average out in importance. I need to build my wisdom because one day my looks will fade. I understand the importance of looks and I use them to my advantage while I still have them. Money pays my bills, puts a roof over my head, and clothes on my back.

hard to say - it's between A and B. A, because it's practical - gotta get those damn bills paid. however, most people need B to get A (unless you have C), and to make it through life in general. so, i guess i would have to say B.

New day, new question!

if you could do anything in the world, right now, what would that be? doesn't have to be realistic or legal xD but don't really do it if it isn't legal

I honestly would speed up my college application process so I can find out if I got in or not! lol.
