simple plesures

we live in a fast world and always worried about money, kids, cars, work, and all things like that.
but you never really stop to apreaciate the simple things that makes us happy every day and that we take for granted.
i my self like to slow down and enjoy the simple plesures in life that cost nothing and make me happy.
my simple plesures go from lighting some candles and having a cup of coffee or going to the store and smelling the flowers in the flower section.
the roses, sunflowers and carnations. theres other flowers but i don't know the names.
Also cuddleing with Meo and watching him smile at me when i give him a treat.

Please share the simple plesures you enjoy

Since the birth of Lucien I have realized how materialistic I can be. None of that matters to me now as he is my sole purpose. I still like my "things" but don't care for them as much.

I also enjoy a good relaxing soak in the tub.

I LOVE to go outside after a good snowstorm, fall flat on my back and just encase myself in the snow and stare at the sky. It's more relaxing than a hot tub. It's like nature made a nice, tight cradle for you.

jogging through the bay at night. watching a sunset and seeing how the sky changes colors. walking through the park and listening to the laughter of children. sometimes everything appears so magical.

Watching insects that wander into the house, reading those small poems that do a lot, journal writing, walking into the cold from a hot building or out of the freezing cold and into a warm building.

I often enjoy the simple things, so you could say theres too many for me to list. Should probably stress more about things.
How ever, I wish to note this one moment which I often experience and also find to be somewhat of my favorite among the "simple pleasures".

When I wait for the bus down by a road where hardly any cars drive, a mountain behind me and a lake infront of me.
The sun often stares directly upon my face, and I enjoy its nurturing glow as it fills me with energy and life.
The breeze hits me, like the only motion in a world where time has stopped, gently lifting my shirt and spreading throughout my body and my hair flowing with it.
Such I stand and wait, as I enjoy the silence, the sun and the breeze... before a giant shadow is laid upon me, a strong taint of gasoline flows in my nostrils, and the gentle breeze replaced by a swift wind carrying sand and dust which often hits my eyes. Then I sigh and board the bus, for the moment has passed...

That is a great pleasure for me, not really simple at all, but since so many complain about the wait and almost fights to be first on the bus, I know that not all cares so much for it as I do.

I enjoy being outside stripping bark off a branch from one of our trees the smell of the fresh cut wood.
I enjoy searching the yard for feathers that I could use to decorate the wood with.
being able to live in the country and howl with the coyotes in front of our house.
To watch the scared look on my pets faces when they hear the coyotes.<It is hilarious.

I'm really into nature.

i forgot this one. sometimes after i workout my mouth feels so dry, especially in summer afternoons. the best feeling is going home to a nice cold bottle of water.

that one was good and i like how u dicribed it, i almost felt it myself. i like going on a walk with my dog and feeling the breeze in my face too when we pass by the lake.

another simple plesure of mine is chewing a piece of gum or popping bubbles with bubble gum

stargazing and wondering in my mind

nature (I live in the mountians now on 40 acres) hiking,camping, smell the trees, views.

water (baths, hot springs, waterfalls, lakes,oceans, rivers) being near or on it.

my cats

I use to love sunsets until I was in the far east and saw the sunrise...they are so big and beautiful

I love a lighting storm but I rarely see any now.

the warmth of the sun which is rare here too....it rains so much here and it's that cold cold rain..I know what grey skies look like but seldom see those blue skies...
sometimes I will sit out in the warm sun and have my arms out in front me and close me eyes and the warmth slowly starting at the top of my hair into my skull slowly moving down my neck and so on...love the feeling of the warmth move down my whole body so much an hour will go by so fast.

Sunny days, playing with my cat, going for bike rides, listening to bands and music in general, kissing the man I love, spooning the man I love, sleeping in late, autumn leaves, bubblegum, silk pjs, french vanilla coffee, weeding my kitties burial garden and planting new flowers, feeding birds from my hand, the ocean, collecting seashells, and lots more....

Too few people realise the pleasures one can gain from nature... Sure, a cold shower can be nice, but I would much more prefer a waterfall!

Feeling the heat watching the flames as the rain beats down outside. The smell and taste of hot chocolate cake. With hubby and Lucien by my side..... Heaven

Simple Pleasure: Getting to wear my highest heels tonight because I'm going out with a friend that's 6'4". I never get to wear those shoes! Finally an occasion and a tall guy! :clap:

I love almost everything..
The feel of rain on my skin, playing with my dogs, my dogs when they're so happy to see me when I get home, sitting around a bonfire and looking up at the stars, pretty much lying anywhere that's not itchy to look at the stars, leaves when they change color, leaves when they're budding in the spring, kissing my boyfriend, opening a door to peek at my boyfriend when he's changing(I know, naughty

), laughing til my stomach hurts, laughing til I cry, my little brother laughing when I tickle him, my mom's smile, when my mom's boyfriend leaves, the feel of lying on the hot sand after the lake gets cold, biking 5 miles and finally getting some cold water, the callouses on my fingers from my guitar, the sound my guitar makes when I pluck the strings, stepping on virgin snow, the swoop in my stomach when I'm on a rollercoaster, and so much more. I LOVE EVERYTHING. It makes me so sad to think I would be missing all this if I had gone through with my suicide plan last year. :heartpump:
