I have two occupations. On the civilian side I'm a welder, and on the military side I do whatever I'm told to do! :D

I am a receptionist at a law firm ( my uncle's-- hello, nepotism) It isn't a full time position. I am content with it for the time being.

While I'm safe there in your arms
So all I ask is for you
To come away with me in the night

Bitch, it's full time.

Aha, no I don't have a job at the moment. The only ones I can find are vacancies for Mc Donalds, and a vegetarian working there? Seriously? The irony of that is so unbelievable I might just take the job.

I work at a rock radio station. I do it all there, some on air, concerts, interviewing groups, promotions, you name it, I get to travel too. I like it well enough, I went to university to become a social worker, like my nanny was when she was still alive, but I left. I still regret that choice, but one day I can rectify that.

(i'm usually criticized after saying this but oh well) i'm actually grateful i don't have job. since i stopped working i've lost 10lbs and been in the best shape of my life. and i even got to travel to a few interesting places. these past few years have been the best few years of my life. i'm not going to lie, i am scared for my future because i'm running out of money, but it was all worth it. i'm not saying everyone should do the same thing but not having a job doesn't have to be all that bad. especially if your good with money.

Thankies. :hugs: I think I might do it next year, I'll be turning 24 yo this Oct. So I want to do it before I hit 25 yo. It is so hard to get into the mindset of studying again when I have been working all this time. My job is really fun on a lot of levels and pretty tedious at times too. I have to deal with a lot of high/drink/sexist individuals, and some of those are within the work environment haha and I have issues with my guy over the traveling to other provinces and the states that I am asked to occasionally do.

Yes, I do. Not in office work, but when I have to go see bands for concerts/promotions and for trips and interviewing. I have a skill I have mastered that cuts guys off at the knees pretty quickly, they don't bother me for too long ;)

I'll tell you what my occupation was for the small amount of jobs I had (only 6) was the factory/warehouse worker(go ahead and laugh if you wish) for each one and one of the places I worked was for the same company at 2 of there locations and another factory I worked for was for 3 times at different time periods while one of the shifts at that place I worked in was called the graveyard shift.

well my first one was working for a company that made plastic stuff like launch trays, plates and forks, ect... another place I worked was for a trampoline company that shipped off weights as well as trampoline parts while later I worked at it's second location putting together jacusie parts. the job I worked for 3 times during different time periods was for a blockbuster distribution center and one of the time periods in witch I worked was the graveyard shift I mentioned. I would say the graveyard shift was about the same as the other shifts except it payed more.

you worked a lot of places. . . did those jobs bore you & you moved on to the next one? trampoline place sounds like fun and graveyard blockbuster one too. i wonder if i'd like a graveyard shift, how much more does it pay you? i'm not enjoying the people i work with right now. . . thinking of looking around for another job soon.

I never got bored with those jobs, I actually liked the jobs except for a small portion of deushbag guys I encountered at those jobs, being sent home on my first job the first day I started and a nasty bitchy old lady supervisor who screamed in my face and was basically telling me to work harder or faster right before My shift was over when I was sweating my ass off from working and low on energy.(was working to the best of my ability and didn't slack) I only left part of those jobs to go back to school and because I was laid off witch did piss me off greatly because each time I was laid off, It ruined the plans I had and those plans were important to me. The graveyard shift payed me about 8.60. even though a grave yard shift in a factory or warehouse might pay more for you I wouldn't recommend it unless you can adapt to sleeping during the day and don't mind risking to work with people that seem to or might have a criminal record.

I love my job, it makes me happy to go into work & I have the best boss, she is a great person.

i'm still with the same company, but my role has changed. i was a receiving clerk for the longest time. briefly, i moved into inventory control, but that didn't really work out. that's okay, though. i now have a desk job, so now i get to sit down much of the day, which means i don't get as exhausted by the heat. what i do now is verify that everything on the invoices has been received. if not, i go investigate and sometimes have to write tickets describing the problems i run into. also, there have been problems with people leaving their scanners/batteries laying around in the building. so, now me and the other girl i work with are set up in what looks like a dog kennel, and that is where the scanners/batteries are. we have to assign them to people. people tease us all the time about being in "the cage" and often grab on to it and make monkey noises at us.

I work nights for a package company. I transferred at my job recently so I now work in customer service.

It seems like I also might be going for the title of professional student :P
