What are you studying?

Biology. So basically if i read my stuff 24 hiurs before the exam (which is Friday) I'll have little problems?
I know some stuff of my own, but i'm really nervous about this. I NEED to pass it. I don't need a top grade, just a passing one lol.

Can't sleep, tomorrow exam. Tips?

The best advice I can give you is to start comitting new material to memory as soon as you are assigned it. Cramming is the worst you can do. It doesn't allow for the information to be stored permanantly. And for a biology course, which only builds on previous knowledge, it is imparative that you know the material front to back. Otherwise you will struggle with more complex concepts in the next course. You are wanting to be a doctor, yes? Would you want to know your doctor just "passed" his courses or aced them?

This never happened to me before, that's why I'm so nervous. I simply forgot to study, i was lazy, and studied other stuff

BTW, the exam today was easy cake, no stress. Good grade.
But Friday is my worst fear, so I'll need to do everything i can to get this thing done.

Is reading everything i can until then a good idea? Or should i pick another strategy? 2 days left :cry:

I agree with this.

Also a tip I find handy during exams is to go over past papers, is there a system? e.g perhaps every second year does a particular topic come up? Also diagrams are handy to know. I do science myself, and it's always handy to know the diagrams they always have loads of marks going for them. Just keep going over questions that have come up before, you can't really go wrong there, and if you get any mid-term/mini assessments during the year, they sometimes give an indication of what can come up.

Well done in your test. Good luck in the next one! And don't panic.

P.S don't stay up all night if you can help it, you're better off going to bed early and getting up early, a good breakfast and a fresh mind

I agree with everything gbeanz said. Also, what kind of professor do you have? Is he/she hard or easy. If you have an easy professor that just goes over the broad stokes of a chapter, then focus on the diagrams and terms. Practice drawing the diagrams and labeling them, talk to yourself out loud about them. It helps to cement the information in your head. First start with the book open, then you should progress to drawing them strictly from memory. Do it over, and over, and over. Drink some coffee and find a quiet place and plan on being there for a while. Know the terms and how they are applied to the material. Make some flash cards and talk to yourself out loud. Ask yourself the question and answer out loud before you flip the card. Don't say I don't know. Beat your brain into submission and learn it.
If you have a hard teacher that likes to go over every minute detail, I'm afraid your screwed. Those are the kind of professors that you need to start studying for on day 1. They are the ones who put the most obscure questions on the test, that make you go "When the hell did we learn that?" I'll tell you when you learned it. One week into the course, when he happened to glaze over the subject.
I think you will be fine. Based on the fact that you did well on your last test even though you were worried. Sounds like you're a worry wart. Just start studying. Know your diagrams and terms.

I can't afford to eat organic, so much of it is just too expensive. I could make a lot of that stuff myself for less than half teh price they sell it at. And it tastes better too. I eat a lot of hommade food because i'm the only one who's ever home that knows how to cook using something besides a grill. Then again, my dad puts on boots and a hat and a scarf and gloves and grills in the wintertime too anyway, so i eat a lot of grilled food. I mostly stay away from fries stuff except around the middle of summer, because that's when the fair comes to town, and i like fair food just a little too much for my own good. So during the summer i eat a lot less healthy than in the winter.

Have you ever tried a cold soup? (one that is purposefully so?)

Cold soup, yes. Although it wasn't supposed to be. I didn't even know that you get sou that's meant to be cold... O_o

Are there any food preferences you have that are not considered normal together ie. crisps and custard..?

Cottage cheese with spicy pickled okra and pepper. Sounds so gross, but I learned it tastes pretty damn good when I was pregnant.

Do you prefer hot or cold weather?

Well... Lets weigh the pros and cons here. Cold weather tries to kill me where i live. So does the hot weather. Here, when it's hot we are capable of having 100 percent humidity with no rain. When it's cold we get a lot of snow, and i get bronchidus. When it's hot i can go swimming and get ear infections... Suffice to say i hate both in my area and will be moving somewhere warm and dry when i can, because then at least the weather won't try to kill me by giving me pnuemonia. So i guess i like hot weather.

Would you be brave enough to sing to an entire classroom full of college students? (This is not a musical kind of class.)

Lesee... I want to run australia and i'd hope to be a good leader for a short time. I don't know why australia, i've just had plans to take over there since i was about 14 for some reason. I just like something about australia. Maybe it's all of the interesting animals, i'm not sure. I don't much like being in a position of power or any kind of spotlight, so i wouldn't want to run a country for long, that's fo sure.

Heh, that's kind of a tricky question.
I joined these forums to post my dreams and get feedback, so of course i like the general dream discussion, but the games are fun too, kind of a nice stress reliever. I also like the writing section, although i don't post there very often, and that's mostly for myself when i do. Hmm... I suppose i most enjoy posting in whatever place i happen to be posting in at the time. If that makes sense. Again though, i did join the forum for the purpose of posting dreams and assisting with interpretation of others, the games and such just came after that.

I have a hard drinking anything that is not really cold or really hot.

I can barely drink water if it not cold. I can't drink coffee/hot tea unless it is really hot.

If the fam is available, i like for us to go something, a drive, a walk, a bike ride
or sometimes watch a movie or tv show together.

if it's just me and the little one, i like to talk to her about her day, answer her questions,

if it's just me and the boss, I like to talk about things she likes to do, what is going on, and also try to find something to make her laugh

if ti's just me, I like to read, ride my bike, or sometimes watch really, really old movies...........

and then sometimes I like to do something completely out of whack.......to be spontaneous!
