What causes nightmares?

Postby Sophia on Wed Dec 28, 2011 12:39 am

Hey does anyone know what causes nightmares because I've been having them frequently. :?
And DON'T say scary movies because I love scary movies and I never have nightmares or get really scared after watching them.
Thanks,
Sophia :dreams:

weird video games; telling creepy stories among friends; yes watching and paying too much attention to horror movies since you like them in your waking life but that does`n`t mean your unconscious mind isn`t processing them after you sleep
also weird habits such as eating too closely before sleep gives some people nightmares
creative and artistic people are known to have spooky dreams - maybe that`s you
and if you enjoy scary movies why not enjoy your nightmares- consider them a free film :D

It also can depend on what you eat if you eat too soon before going to bed.

I know to avoid anything with high vitamins in them, like tomatoes, oranges etc. Unless I want to have a nightmare, which I sometimes do want because they can help with figuring out what's been bothering me the most... if I can manage to interpret them.
"and then I woke up"

I have no religion, my faith is in my sub-conscience and the power that it has.
